Its becoming fall here in SLC. I noticed all the fallen leaves on the ground this morning and I have been in the fall sweater mood lately. Even though its blazing hot here some days and rainy other days I am in the Autumn mood. So I started to search for fall home fragrances and I came across a pin on Pinterest that I wanted to try. But i added my own flair!
Orange Peel Simmering Pot
| Oranges, Pumpkin Spice, Ground Cinnamon, Vanilla Extract |
| Slice 1 or 2 Oranges depending on the size of the pot. I also added a bit of orange zest to give the orange a better scent. |
| Add Oranges, about a cup of water, 1 tsp Vanilla, 2-3 tsp of Cinnamon and Pumpkin Spice ( I like things spicy so I added 3 tsp, you can do less if you want more citrus) |
You just stick it on the stove for about 30 mins on med. Make sure the water doesnt evaporate or it will start burning. Just add more water and burn longer if you have a large home. I have a small apt so 30 is all i do. When you are done put it in the fridge and re use till the orange starts falling apart... to be safe use it 4 or 5 times then mix a new batch. You house will smell wonderful!
